Working Principle

  • Provide a physical method for disinfection and sterilization
  • A combination of steam, pressure and time
  • Operate at high temperature and pressure in order to kill microorganisms and spores
  • Soak the samples 168 hours at 121 °C, 100% RH, and 2 atm
  • Alternative name: autoclave test
